A few thoughts on settling into a new job. It has been difficult to transition to a new job, but I am in love with my new school. Time has been limited, and to be honest, much of my therapy has been fly by the seat of my pants and try not to panic. Perhaps there will be more here when life is less hectic :) For now, I'm not sweating the small stuff.
Funny moment of last week: Show an articulation kiddo a picture of a bicycle, and he immediately starts singing the Queen song about riding a bicycle! You surely never know what will happen.
BTW...I'm on week long Fall break...be jealous.

My 1st attempt

The title says it all. I was reading some blogs, and I thought I'd give it a try. This is my first attempt.

I've been working as a speech language pathologist in the public school setting for just over two years now. I spend a lot of time trolling the internet for ideas and free materials, as well as creating my own. I think this blog will be a great place to share my materials as well as experiences and thoughts.

I attended the University of West Georgia, where I originally studied Biology (for three years!), but eventually found my way to the field of speech language pathology. After getting my undergraduate degree, I was accepted to Georgia State University, where I worked VERY hard to get my master's degree in communication disorders. Before I even graduated, I had a job lined up at a middle school. That is where I have been working for the past two years.

I hope you enjoy my blog!
